  1. Was given a copy of your book Fathers and Sons and can’t put it down. It reminds me of many families and that life isnt perfect but the journey is that we strive to self correct, heal and grow each day closer to God. You have had a beautiful journey and you used every moment of it well. You have been a great inspiration of love, hope and a strong message that we are here to be “Jesus” to one another. Beautiful idea. Thats world peace right there. If we could only be Jesus to one another.

  2. This is a message for Father Esseff: Dear Father Essedd. You have remained in my heart since I was a boy. I remember the day you showed up at St. Matthew’s in East Stroudsburg, newly assigned to our parish, and entered our lunchroom to sing “O Come O Come Emmanuel,” and I had never heard such music. Over the next years, I found you to be a truly brilliant spiritual mentor, and when I came to you with my betrothed, Elaine, before marriage, you told us about the pain of marriage and how much love we’d need to have to overcome it. You were an inspiration to a young lad. God bless you–well, He already has, and you’ve passed the blessing on to many. I’ll never forget you.

  3. I m looking forward to your lessons

    Thank you Father John

  4. I love u Monsignor. Your lesson about hurt and damaged children touched me. I also was unwanted. I did grow up w a loving Catholic church and can’t imagine how much worse my life would have been without the hugs and love from my priests and sisters.

  5. Dear Mgsr. Essef,

I will never forget your hearing my confession in Vandalia, Illinois at Our Sorrowful Mothers Ministry Retreat. I just recently know how you knew something about me by reading about you a few months ago. Years after the event. Wow… Knowing nothing about you other than bringing the 1st Class relics of St. Padre Pio, I truly realize the other gift from St. Pio given to me by you.

Be assured that since that weekend back in 2011, you have never left my thoughts and prayers.
Peace and joy to you, your ministry and your volunteers who run this website.

With love from your sister in Christ…
