9 Days with Mary, Untier of Knots

Prayer to the Virgin Mary, Untier of Knot

Novena prayers to offer every day (scroll to the first day for mp3)

We begin with our daily prayers, making the Sign of the Cross and praying the Act of Contrition so that God will enter our hearts, and he will bring us near to the Virgin Mary.

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for
having offended you, and I detest
all my sins, because of Your just
punishments, but most of all because
they offend You, my God, who are
all-good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of
Your grace, to sin no more and to
avoid the near occasion of sin.

Amen

Blessed Virgin Mary, the one who unties the knots, in marriage, in people and of nations, I offer you this novena requesting the following intentions:

`Pray to the Virgin Mary Untier of Knots´

Holy Mary, full of the presence of God, during your life you accepted with great humility the holy will of the Father and the legacy of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, and evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion. Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties as you did at the wedding feast of Cana. With all simplicity and with

patience, you have given us an example of how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives. By being our mother forever you arrange and make clear the path that unites us to Our Lord.

Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart, untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive into your hands (here mention your prayer request) and deliver us from the chains and confusion that restrain us.  Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession and by your example, deliver us from evil, and untie the knots that keep us from being united to God. So that free of all confusion and error, we may find him in all things,  keep him in our hearts, and serve him always in our brothers and sisters. Mother of  Good Counsel pray for us.

( Luke 1, 35 )

Brief Reflection:

The Holy Spirit, Third Person of God, overshadowed the womb of the Virgin Mary full of grace, and the power of the most High was with her so that she would give birth to our savior made man. That is why the Virgin Mary is blessed and holy. In her, The Son of God inhabited. ¡ Who better than his Mother, to aid us and help us to dismantle our tangled conflicts!

Bible reading:

« Mary said, “ Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.  May it be done to me according to your word. “Then the Angel departed from her.” » ( Luke 1, 38 )

Brief Reflection:

The Virgin Mary meekly undergoes the designs of God, alt-hough with certain reservations. “.. How can this be if I do not know man?…she accepts, with some concerns. How many doubts will we have when we have moved away from God, and in our mistakes, we have knitted a useless cobweb of knots. Let us give our griefs to the council of Mary.

«   15 When the angels had left them and gone back to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go as far as Bethlehem and see what the Lord has made known to us.” 16 So they came hurriedly and found Mary and Joseph with the baby lying in the manger. 17 On seeing this they related what they had been told about the child, 18 and all were astonished on hearing the shepherds.19 As for Mary, she treasured all these messages and continually pondered over them.» (Luke 2, 15-19)

Brief Reflection:

They went to Bethlehem, where they found the Child, “The word made flesh”, the only Truth. Let us walk through our desert, that with the guidence of the Archángel Raphael, that we may come closer to Mary Mother of the Church, and with her to Jesus.  Little by little, the knots of error that make us prisoners will be untied. “The Truth shall set us free”. Let us walk in confidence towards our liberation.”

Bible reading:

4 Jesus replied, “Woman, your thoughts are not mine! My hour has not yet come.” 5 However his mother said to the servants, “Do what-ever he tells you.” (John 2, 4-5)

Brief Reflection:

In the wedding feast of Cana , the patient Virgin Mary interce-des for the guest.  With this act, she inaugurates her Mediation between the Son of God and men. The faithful servant of the Lord, is our most humble and maternal servant, in our afflictions, despairs, tribulations and wrongs doings. She is the Mediatrix of all graces, to which we commend ourselves in our intricate problems, that with her maternal hands, she will untie the knots that still imprison us.

Bible reading:

“ It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.”(Luke 23, 44)

Brief Reflection:

The Father’s will is about to be acomplished; Our Lord Jesus Christ will die on the cross for our salvation, in the promise of his Resurrec-tion. From the darkness the light will shine to illumine us, freedom from darkness. We already see our problems with more clarity. Our ties loosen, in the measure in which  they conform to the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. At this time we are closer to his Mother, the Virgin Mary.

Brief Reflection:

At the moment Jesús went to the Father, he leaves us in the care of his Mother. It is the greatest legacy that Jesús left to Our Virgin Mary, and when he points out to the disciple he loves, he gives her custody of the whole humanity. She will be our Advocate, Helper, Benefac-tress, and Mediatrix. The handmaid of the Lord, will grant us freedom through her intercesión, she will untie the final knots that make us prisoners.

« 14 All of these together gave themselves to constant prayer. With them were some women and also Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brothers…» and  »when the day of Pentecost arrived, all were filled with the Holy Spirit.» (Acts 1:14 and 2:1-4)

Brief Reflection:

Our Father sends the Holy Spirit on the feast of Pentecost , that will feed us in our faith. This is the same faith that with Mary’s maternal help, will remove the bonds that keep us prisoners. With the light of the Holy Spirit we see in meridian clarity which of our anguishes had our spirit trapped. The guidance of Saint Michael the Archangel has always been certain,  Saint Gabriel the Archangel will announce my freedom and Saint Michael the Archangel, will protect me from any attack. The Evil one (the serpent), overpowered by the presence of Mary, lies at her feet, made into a useless knot, unable to touch us.

IP#306 Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC – Champions of the Rosary on Inside the Pages with Kris McGregor Podcast

fr-_donald_calloway_micIt’s always a delight to talk with Fr. Donald Calloway, particularly when it’s about Our Lady!  In “Champions of the Rosary: The History and Heroes of a Spiritual Weapon”, Fr. Calloway proves once again to be one of the Blessed Mother’s great knights in our modern-day spiritual battle.  His humble, joy-filled witness is inspiring!  Along with the Sacraments of the Church and Sacred Scripture, Fr. Calloway knows exactly what we need to enhance and deepen our experience of grace in these crazy challenging times which we now live in  – The Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary!  For the restless contemplative heart, there is no place better to ponder the presence and mysteries of God than in Our Lady’s “garden of prayer.”  In that prayer, she will bring us to encounter Christ, and through Him, with Him, and in Him, the world will be transformed. This fantastic book is like a multi-faceted diamond.  In its pages, Fr. Calloway shares the rich history of the Holy Rosary, beautifully pious devotional reflections (with stunning artwork as well), and the stories of those whose lives encourage us to become champions of this devotion as well!  This is a must have in every Catholic home and parish!

“Champions of the Rosary is an encyclopedic and inspiring work on the rosary, the spiritual weapon that has been given to the Church. In a remarkable way, it presents the fascinating saga of the birth and development of the devotion so linked to the Dominican Order! This is a wonderful tool for better understanding the rosary, promoting its use, and championing it in our troubled world. I am certain that these pages will inspire us all to take up our rosary!” Fr. Louis-Marie Arino-Durand, OP. Promotor Generalis pro Rosario. Rome, Italy

“Champions of the Rosary is an extremely insightful, pious, and scholarly work on the rosary. Father Calloway’s insights and contributions into the history and heroes of the rosary will not go unnoticed or unappreciated.” — His Eminence Christoph Maria Cardinal Schonborn, OP, STD Archbishop of Vienna, Austria

The Second Vatican Council remains us that Mary is a member of the Church who “occupies a place in the Church which is the highest after Christ and also closest to us” (LG, no. 54).  She is the first and the greatest of all the disciples of Christ.

IP#269 Tim Staples – Behold Your Mother on Inside the Page with Kris McGregor

“Behold Your Mother – A Biblical and Historical Defense of the Marian Doctrines”, by Catholic apologist Tim Staples,  is outstanding!  For those who are unfamiliar or even unsure what the Church teaches about the Mother of God, this is a tremendous entry point for your study.  For all who have a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, this is the book to have in order to help articulate the truths of Marian Dogma clearly to others!   Director of Apologetics and Evangelization for Catholic Answers, Tim Staples, has authored a work that is easy to navigate and filled with solid biblical and historical reasons for what we as Catholics believe about Mary. A must for the Catholic library in every parish and home!  A GREAT book for Advent reflection and study, as well as a gift for family and friends!

Tim Staples respectfully but clearly answers every conceivable Protestant objection to Mary, the Mother of God. With the street cred of one who has been there, Tim backs up his words with Scripture every time. His answers are exhaustive but not exhausting! An invaluable book for thoughtful, truth-seeking Christians. —-Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J., EWTN host and author of Mary: Virgin, Mother, and Queen

The greatest doctrinal obstacle to my return to the Catholic Church was fear that Catholics had no basis for or boundaries on the Marian dogmas. If only Tim Staples had written Behold Your Mother then! His presentation is fearless, precise, biblically wise, historically rooted, and popular in expression. He addresses objections I haven t seen addressed elsewhere. I can t think of a more insightful, comprehensive single volume that persuades so thoroughly. Great, truly great, piece of apologetics. — Al Kresta, president, Ave Maria Communications and host of Kresta in the Afternoon

Tim Staples presents a remarkable defense of the six major Marian doctrines, including a veritable compendium of source material from the Bible, Fathers, and Church documents. He gives clear presentations of the controversial issues surrounding each doctrine, makes careful definitions and distinctions, and thinks his way through each issue as if he were having a conversation with the reader. Even well-informed readers will benefit from this engaging book. – –Fr. Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., president, Magis Center of Reason and Faith

IP#202 Fr. Donald Calloway – Under the Mantle on Inside the Pages with Kris McGregor

“Under the Mantle: Marian Thoughts from a 21st Century Priest” is fantastic!  Fr. Donald Calloway’s books just keep getting better and better.  In this work, he Fr.-Callowaybegins this journey with Our Lady, who then guides the reader through the rich treasures found in the Church established by her Son, Jesus Christ.  Through the Sacraments, to the depth of devotion found in our spiritual practices, and then with a  rich appreciation of what authentic manhood and femininity truly are,  Fr. Calloway explores the many facets of our faith.   This book is a book well suited for everyday mystagogia.  Without ever dumbing down the content, Fr. Calloway’s writing style is engaging and designed for “joe or josephine”  pew person.  This book is perfect for those who are in the RCIA, for folks who have completed a consecration preparation to Our Lady, or for anyone just looking for a more penetrating study of the faith.  You will not be disappointed!  And what a beautiful tribute to Our Blessed Mother!

“We are living in an extraordinary time of grace and mercy. It is a time in which many people, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, are experiencing a renewed appreciation for the sacred and unchanging truths of Catholicism. Though the vast majority of universities and colleges today indoctrinate their students into the dictatorship of moral relativism, the media puts forth an ideology of rampant secularism, and the political realm is filled with proponents of a culture of death, nevertheless, it is in these times that Jesus, through the Immaculata, is raising up a new generation of Catholics. In Under the Mantle: Marian Thoughts from a 21st Century Priest, Fr. Calloway masterfully blends together aspects of his own conversion story with profound theological insights into Catholicism, presenting everyone from “Joe six-pack in the pew” to a seminary rector with incredibly vivid and thought-provoking analogies into why it is so important for a Christian to live under the mantle of Mary. I very highly recommend that everyone read this book! ”

  2. My family life is in crises my wife is been lured with false promises by her sister & her friend.
They are luring her into a business where in she has been given false promises that she will become rich. The business is illegal and I have done my best to make her understand that there is no economics behind the business.
My and my wife`s parent have explained that as well however both sisters are under the influence for this friend of hers who is giving them false hopes. This friend of hers is divorced and because I am not supporting this illegal business she is influencing my wife to take a divorce from me.
Please pray for my family so that we can be one.

  14. Our Dear Lady, This week we had the offer of a definite place at the chosen school as my granddaughter AR had completed all the examinations and assessments successfully. Thank you so much Mother Mary as there were so many “knots to be untied” over the last year. It was a big ordeal especially for my daughter G. You never fail to intercede for us Dear Mother. Your loving children. Amen

  15. Please, please pray for immediate end to spiritual attack on me, my husband Robert, our marriage, children and in-laws.. for miracles..our Lady Untier of Knots to urgently help save my marriage of 23 years to my husband Robert, for him to immediately reconcile and stop divorce before 12/31/19 when it’s final in court.. for our five children that he is alienating me and keeping me from for past year.. that his sister will stop fueling and funding the attorneys and continuing the war of hatred she has helped him unjustly wage against me, my elderly parents and siblings, their spouses and families who are all devout Catholics.. the contentious battle to prevent Indefinite spousal support can only be their greed and a spiritual attack.. I love my husband and children and could forgive all this to keep our marriage and family together, but I need urgent prayers and miracles of conversion and reconciliation .. please pray for me.. it’s unbearable as a wife and mother. Please also pray for our 5 children who have been depressed, over divorce and the lies he says they refuse to see me.. I am their mother I know they love and miss me but are manipulated by his lies and money..and our daughter who just turned 18 that has been suicidal over confusion with homosexuality.. I need miracles please pray Our Lady Undoer of Knots help me!
